We build Window Shutters and External Doors. Our manufacturing workshops are based in The Nouvelle Aquitaine so our wooden products are ‘Made in France’, or should I say, ‘Fabricant en France’? After a long time building wooden products in the UK (since 1989) we realised we needed a new adventure. Shutters made in France and Doors made in France.
Our new France Adventure
We found a renovation property in France ( a bit of a doer-upper!!). On arrival with my family in the former department of the Limousin (France) in 2010. Consequently, Adrenalin kicks in tainted with excitement topped with a good dose of, ”What The…?”
What was our plan?
Well, first we needed to have somewhere to live and work so we set about working on our French Ruin! Once we partly renovated our ‘French Farmhouse Ruin’ in 2012 it was time to lay down our roots and become a real contributor to our community.
But what should we do?
Obviously, it made a lot of sense to do what we do best and that is woodworking. Woodworking has always been my love and it is in the blood.
Carpentry skills have been in my family for a long time and in particular my Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather with his sausage fingers mounted to his short stocky body was an ‘Artist in Wood’ anatomically impossible master craftsmen!
I also have Sausage Fingers!
And so it is in my destiny to defy logic and produce quality wooden products.
Well, I was keen on a name that provokes query! The Bois syllable is easy as it is French for wood. So now the first Syllable had to be added and I needed to be something close to my heart. Supposedly I could have chosen my wife but it didn’t have the same ring so my K9 Buddy ‘Wally’ it has to be!
I bring you WALLYBOIS!
We make Window Shutters and Doors for customers just like you. It has become an obsession to provide a good service and price that betters the competition. You can order directly or via our secure Store. All our timber products are made to measure,’Portes Sur Mesure’ et ‘Volets Sur Mesure’.
